How can Trend Micro not be able to clean or remove the Spyware but Super Anti Spyware Free Edition did?

My Trend Micro poped up saying it has 3 infections with spyware and I will have to delete the file myself. Today I downloaded and ran Anti Spyware 3 times and it delete it. How come Trend Mirco Didn’t?

Is Anti Spyware is REALLY necessary if I use Firefox with NoScript add-on?

I am using free AVAST antivirus for home computer. Using Firefox with NoScript add-on should also blocks Java, JavaScript, and other malicious codes from the sites I don’t trust, including Spyware So, is Anti Spyware is really necessary then?
